The last few weeks have been manic, with work, social events, school events, cat fights (it's like fight club in my garden) a few too many late nights drinking wine, muddled with early starts can lead me to slowing down in the morning and a little bit of a sorehead
During the summer months you find yourself naturally waking up early with the tweet of the birds and the sun rising earlier each day, probably not but the hangover and tiredness sure makes it feel like it. Whilst it can be hard and wanting to leave unwillingly out of your cosy slumber, the day beckons and you gotta get up and out faster in the morning.
Mornings and routines can be tough, with pack lunches to make, cat to feed, clothes to iron, bag to pack and everything in between the little things can slow you down. But with practising a morning routine you will be amazed at the great impact that it can have on your day, trust me if I did not have a routine, i would never EVER get out of the house on time.
Water
Goes without saying hydration is key, before you go to bed and when you wake up first thing in the morning. Water won't just help keep you hydrated but alert too, so placing your cup of water strategically by your bed is key as you can reach for it the moment you wake up
Schedule
Nothing gets you out the house quicker than with a little forward planning and structure. So creating a timed scheduled the night before is ideal as it will also leave you surprised at how much you can actually do and get done in a certain amount of allocated time!
Be Calm
A great way to wake up your mind and body is by practising meditation, it does not have to be a long period of time 15-20 mins, sitting down being at one with your thoughts will help get you and your day in and order and keep you focused.

Every day I'm hustling, hustling, hustling.......Finally, I am doing jobs that I love and when I'm in a happy workplace nothing more rewarding for you and your company by going the extra mile and getting ahead at work.
When you love your job, you are more than willing to jump out of bed with a spring in your step. You go into work your happy, not just within your role but your colleagues too, god knows some can be a pain, but that's ok, today is a new day and a day that you don't mind seeing that sourpuss, your happy to be at work, your positive and you want to get ahead because secretly you love and are happy with you and your role.
Everyone wants to be rewarded and promoted, but it won't just happen overnight, you gotta put the work in. You see yourself wanting to grow and learn within the company you work at, you gotta put the work in love to get noticed and be rewarded. With these practices, you will sure to be promoted in no time.
Know your role, knowledge is key
Once you've grasped an understanding of your role and what you are meant to do, get to know other roles and other departments. Nothing quite like, being able to support or driving revenue to another department.
Share your knowledge and support
We all need help and support and those that you work with need it too. As cliche as it may sound there is no I in team, so share that knowledge whatever it may be, to being kick-arse at a spreadsheet or a whizz kid at coding and if you see someone that needs help, offer some support they will appreciate that support and others may notice and come to you for additional direction.
Get involved
Nothing says I'm here and ready to get involved by actively doing so, by attending work functions, to possible courses they may offer to help you get ahead at work, even if it may not be your division, nothing quite shows gumption than by taking the initiative to grow and learn within the company, besides no one takes a job to be in it for a short period, nothing quite like learning new skills.
Ready, steady, BAKE
Admit it, don't lie now, we all love a cheeky treat with a cuppa! Anyone who says they don't they are LYING, EVERYONE loves a cheeky mid-afternoon treat. So why not occasionally treat your colleagues to something scrumptious. Luckily I made 2 of my bitchin banana bread took them in to work and the greedy sods wolfed it down happily with a cuppa in hand and all departments came together for 20 mins and we had a cheeky chat, which is great not only you get to have a quick catch up and a sweet treat, you get to know others too in different departments, nothing like a treat to bring you all together and a little in-house networking.
Stay ahead
Sort out your checklist, nothing quite like being organised for work and staying on top of things to be able to get ahead, as you never know what could happen, things change all the time. You may find yourself being cancelled on by a client at the last moment, nothing wrong with having a backup plan, schmooze another new potential client, take them out for lunch, drop them an email, to even touching base with their EA.
Be true, be you!
No one wants to work with a phoney, you can spot a deceitful person a mile off, no one wants to work or promote someone who doesn't have the best intentions for the company or true to themselves. People remember those that are true, kind, honest and respectful and so quite simply just be you.

Simple things to do to get your life back on track and get focused, it may sound unrealistic, simple things, but that is because right now you are probably in a negative mindset and not ready, but trust me you will be, it is as simple as A B & C and some determination.

This year for me has been a crazy and most likely the worst year of my life, but I had to reevaluate my life and my head and thought how I can I change that and make it work for me and be in a much better and healthier place!? I have great friends & family who have got me out of my funk, but there is only so much they can do, the only real person who can get my life back on track for me was ME!
Face your demons
In order to conquer what is holding you back and keeping you in a rut, face it head on, stand up for yourself instead of allowing it to hold you back and drag you down, make a change for you, don't let it change you! As scary as it may be you have to face it and challenge your fear. Those demons are the ones making you second guess yourself and that is what puts doubt in your mind, but I assure you by standing strong will put those demons in check and restoring normal order in your life allowing you to take back control.
Focus
Get organised, declutter your mind, life and home. Put things into perspective, make a list know and understand what you have to do to get back on track when you do, don't rush it, it takes time, keep a steady clear and focused mind.
Carve out your own success
Step out of the shadows and step into the light and create your own success, there is nothing better no matter how big or small an idea, be it lucrative or not, creating and forming something (not just babies) that has come from you is the first step to success and happiness.

Take care of you
I loved running it was my thing before I became a mother, but work being a single parent and support for just some me time was scarce unless I was working. But I had a few hours to myself and instead of coming home putting a load of washing on and doing the ironing, I got out my old running (reminds me I need some new gear) kit and went for a 45-minute run and it felt great, exhilarating even. I stopped making excuses as to why I shouldn't and took care of me, after all, if I can't take care of me who is going to!
Result
Don't just think about the outcome but think and process the journey you are on and why and how you have had to come down a path in order to get back on track, once you are able to understand the journey to make you better you will approach more the result in bettering you.
Forgiveness
I am not going to lie, it is the hardest thing, especially when you have been hurt. But learning to forgive others and yourself as cliche as it sounds will set you free from all that pain and heartache, don't think of it as being for others but for your own peace of mind to move forward.
Remeber...Do not get sidetracked, by people that are not on track.

Follow me on:

Mummas far and wide I know that you will all be able to understand that we are unable to function without a few things needed in our working lives. From 5am starts to 11pm finishes on a daily basis, there are a few essentials that every working mum needs to be able to function throughout the day without completely losing the plot and crumbling to the floor and your kids using you like a bouncy castle all whilst wearing your good 6" high heels for extra measure!
Coffee Cups
For those coffee or tea lovers, we all need our little fix in the morning or throughout the day and what better way to keep charged up on the run, then with Stojo. Since becoming a Mumma I have become more aware of recycling and what is going on around me. I meticulously recycle at home and have various bins for everything. But whilst on the run I carry this nifty pocket cup, that is leak proof, collapsible and fun to use reusable coffee cup that comes in various colours, instead of purchasing a single-use cup that will just get tossed.
Wipes
Water wipes are a life saver and have many uses! Be it cleaning off the toothpaste your kids have just covered you in, to snotty noses, to help you keep cool on those hot summer days on the tube, no Mumma can not leave the house without them.
Watch
I never knew the importance of having a watch before, but to keep on top of things, and sometimes technology failing you a watch comes in handy, plus it can certainly add a touch of class to your outfit. With Ice Watches, there are endless designs and styles to keep you looking classy and chic a total no brainer to add the finer details to your outfit.
Portable Charger
with all the Instagramming, Twitter, work emails and calls from your childs school and the other million things that go on through your mobile device, staying charged up to connect us to the world is important and a portable charger something that you will always find in my Mumma Bag.
Bubbles
The juice of the gods comes in the form of Prosecco or lady diesel as I like to call it! After a long day or week, the kids safely tucked in bed, what better way to unwind with a glass or two on a Friday, with your feet up. Prosecco, not your key to happiness than whatever your tipple, make sure you enjoy at least one a week.
Are there things that you can not live without, to help you have a stress free home when working?

Well colour me happy, it's celebration time! it's MINTD Box 1st Birthday. If you have not heard of them before, don't worry grab a pew my dear friend you still have plenty of time to get to know and love them as much as I do!
Waking up and going to bed for the past 8 months since working alongside MINTD Box my skin, hair and nails have never looked and felt so good! I'm bursting with knowledge that I never knew or felt equipped with before, they have introduced me to a vast range of products and brands that are totally new to me and some that I have heard of but not ever tried! Helping you maintain your radiant glow throughout the warmer months with products to help revitalise, energise, brighten, refresh and help firm and smooth your skin from the inside out, what more could we ask for.
What is in this months box........
Nothing like starting from the inside out to help boost your inner golden goddess, then with a light refreshing antioxidant boosting superfood charged tea from Quintessential. This White Elixir Rejuvenating & Light Tea is designed to combine in your daily routine, helping you to achieve a mindful, healthy lifestyle. Infused with Spirulina Algae, floral notes of Jasmine this tea can be enjoyed hot or cold. Not a tea fan like myself do not worry, I was pleasantly surprised by its taste and aroma and more than happy to enjoy and incorporate into my busy morning routine.
With this summer sun beating down on your face, there is nothing quite like a cool down. With Superfood, Youthglo Babyface Mask, you achieve just that. A luxurious mask, designed to clarify the skin and boost collagen production, is perfect and helps to repair sun-damaged skin and signs of ageing all whilst helping to soothe the skin and reduce redness, all whilst smoothing those fine lines and helping to boost skin radiance.
The Eye Express Radiance Ice Cubes, from Anne Semonin is enriched with natural active ingredients, such as Gingko Balboa, gourd extract and hyaluronic acid. Perfect for day or night use and super easy to apply and store (in the freezer) it helps reduce and refresh puffy eyes helping maintain the radiance in your skin and fret not, it is perfect for those with sensitive skin.
Ok, so I have a favourite so kill me! Oskia Skincare is totally new to me, but I love them! I said it yep! my favourite product, Get Up & Glow Radiance & Energy Booster ( A mouthful I know) is pure beauty in a bottle and is immediately apparent as to why it is award-winning 'best skin protector'. This lightweight revitalising and energising serum packs a punch. Designed to actively brighten and firm and even skin tone and helps to improve the appearance of fine lines and protect you against every day and lifestyle damage all whilst leaving your skin youthful and with a radiant glow, for me does just that. I even felt a lift in my mood, and it can be applied before or even after makeup application or if needing that golden goddess glow throughout the day. and is suitable for all skin types, so what can I say! Winner, winner chicken dinner! Or in my case a nice golden nanny's glow!
For the summer months, I am all down for a body oil and this Omorovicza is a true beauty, not only does is it give you that sassy golden shimmer from this body oil, but it smells like a summer's dream, beautifully lightly fragmented, scented with Ylang-Ylang and Orange Blossom is perfect for the holiday season and all whilst restoring suppleness, elasticity, toning and strengthening your skin, leaving it super soft to the touch.
Verdict! MINTD Box for me is my beauty mecca! The monthly box costing at £65.00 is a steal and I do mean a steal, you are saving a whopping £106.00 what more could you ask for, all that extra mula you are saving can go towards a new bikini or handbag you have been coveting. Another bonus about MINTD is that you can choose a monthly or bi-monthly subscription package to suit you! Well two bonuses in fact, if this is your first box enter promo code WELCOME17 for FREE Worldwide shipping ,after all, it is about YOU! Just knowing that each month you will be educated and be sent a selection of luxury beauty products that you may or may not know is perfect and a real treat.

A massive thank you to MINTD and a big fat whopping Happy Birthday! I am looking forward to spending many more with you and helping you celebrate, unfortunately for my postman each month he has to witness a rabid Mumma looking wild out the window insight for my monthly boxes.

**This post was created in collaboration with MINTD Box. All thoughts are my own.
A
new day a new month, leads to more and new exciting adventures and more
responsibility, but if like me and any normal person with so much going on,
from managing your home life to carting the kids from school to activity to visiting
the dentist, meeting friends and prepping for holidays away, life can get a
bit much and with so much going on you can forget what needs to be done, but
with a little forward planning and a little patience I am going to help you,
myself too with 4 Ways To Get Shi*T Done This Month! Now, lets smash the hell
of this month, but before we do, let's see what we can do to help us get sh*t
done this month.
Stop
procrastinating
We
are all guilty of it, always thinking it can be done later and put off for
another day, then another. But to be able to get sh*t done this month, you are
going to have to change A) your outlook B) your mindset in order to get
organised. So clear your head, stop avoiding what needs to be done and face it
head on, also by changing your mindset will help, so by simply changing your
beliefs and finding a method that works for you, stick to it, that way you are
able to manage your expectations.
Set
a goal
You
know what needs to be done 95% of the time! So why not set yourself manageable
goals! Write a list. Once you have compiled this month's goals, list it all in
importance then work your way from there. Do not get me wrong, life can throw you a curve ball with
unexpected events, be a chameleon, adapt to your surroundings and you will
surely be able to tick off all those goals.
Get
visual
Nothing
better than being able to see what needs to be done, get a wall chart, get
colour coded (I'm a weirdo, I know, I have this!) But being able to see what
needs to be done in a place you spend/pass most often (kitchen) lets you know
what you have to do this month in order to get sh*t done.
Shut
off from social media
Instagram,
Twitter, Facebook, Daily Mail and Pinterest too, the list can go on and on. We
all have are guilty pleasures which have us perusing for hours on end. You may
have the best intention just for a quick 5-minute look, but is it ever REALLY a
5-minute check, nope! My 5 minutes can turn literally into hours, so step away
from the phone ladies and gents I promise it will be there in a few hours (I
think) and keep it moving.
If
you can put into practice these 4 steps each month I promise, these habits will
essentially become that, habits. Leading you to then end result that you set
out to achieve and want.
How
do you get your sh*t done? I would love to hear your comments below!
