5 Ways To Deal With Anxiety

Anxiety, it's a funny old thing that can be triggered by the smallest of things and it's certainly a feeling that we rather not have, let alone face.

Fret not, there is a way to conquer those pesky anxious feelings, ways which are very simple and easy to do, wherever you are, be it on the tube, bus, standing in the line queueing for your cup of coffee I am certain some of the tips, we certainly lead you to a better day.

Meditate
No matter where you are or what you are doing you can meditate, not necessarily crossed legged, but be it standing one sitting, relax, close your eyes for 5-10 minutes and breathe slowly. Just let your mind, body and soul drift off and just focus on your breathing.

Cook
Cooking can calm you down, it helps take your mind off stress and your worries and it can certainly help relax your mind, body and soul. If you have little ones, siblings, friends or partners, it is also a great way to get them involved and make a fun activity out of it, one I'm sure will leave your kitchen looking like a disaster, but at least you will have a tasty dish out of it, plus you can sit back and relax and watch them tidy up.

Get Up And Get Out
Being stuck indoors, can lead to even more stress and overthinking things, so what better way to relieve stress, rather than being cooped up with all those feelings than getting out of the house or wherever you are, just getting up and enjoying what the day has to offer and clean fresh air, will do you the world of good.

Get Creative
Butcher, baker the candlestick maker, you do not have to be a professional painter! By painting or drawing, you can lose yourself to another world, to help stimulate your mind and give you something to focus on, just get lost in the brush stroke moment, not feeling like Picasso, don't let that deter you, go and paint the bathroom, give it a fresh coat, I guarantee you will more relaxed and peace one you have done.

Positive Mantra
Nothing is more infectious than negativity, so throw it out of the window, dust your shoulders off and get positive. Think positive thoughts, surround yourself with positive people, just writing this POSITIVE I automatically feel lifted within myself.  As cliche as it sounds, trust me, what you put out is what you get back.

So just remember, what when life gets tough do any of the above, I am sure you will feel tonnes better and see your anxiety levels deplete rapidly.
