Ever wondered how to reduce stress at work? It is not easy! The very mention of work and deadlines is enough to send chills down your spine, and no matter the role you do, you can find yourself becoming stressed.
Work stress is very common and more people suffer from anxiety, even depression from work-related stress than you know. Whilst it is easier said than done to just forget about it all, sweep it under the rug as it were, that is simply not the right or healthy way to deal with stress, but finding a balance that works for you whilst at work and away from it to help you manage any fears and anxieties that you may have.
When you are feeling all kinds of down and negative towards your work, let us be honest, that is not great, that leads to you taking your eye off the ball, which then can create further problems for you, be it in attendance or performance and no one wants that, the key is to be successful, perform your duties and show your bosses that you can excel at whatever may come your way, in a cool, calm and collected manner.
We have decided to compile a list to help manage those work-related stresses and tensions, to help you become a better you and help you relax and reduce stress whilst at work.
Breathe
Yes I know, this may sound like a big cliche, but it is true/. Step away from your desk, go to the bathroom if you have to but breathe, You can not focus on the matter at hand, without a clouded and frazzled mind. So what better way is to find a quiet place, close your eyes and simply breathe. You will find that this little practice even for 5 minutes will get you back on track.
Drink a cup of tea
Now, I am no tea lover I must confess, but a cup of herbal tea or a nice coffee always helps relax me, that warming sensation, with a biscuit or two, is great and is sure to cheer anyone up.
Talk
Nothing better than letting off a bit of steam than by a good old chat. Have a work colleague that you trust and connect with, share how you are feeling with them or a friend outside your work environment, better out than in I always say, and you will feel so much better, but letting it all out and confiding in someone.
Eat right
We can all have a tendency to have a sweet tooth when stressed, but step away from the junk food guys, and eat yourself healthily which will lead you to feel a lot better.
Schedule your day
Get organised, an organised mind and work plan, leaves you feeling my relaxed and ready for what the working day may bring.
Have you ever had stress from work? How do you overcome it? I would love to hear in the comments below!

When you are a single parent, the most important thing that you can do, to be the best single parent that you can be is to keep hold of your identity and personality.
It took me 3 1/2 years to realise that I had lost both my individuality and personality, I mean how did this happen, how did I, the fun-loving party girl, allow herself to become lost and lose this much. Well, simply, parenting took over, everything and everyone myself included took a back seat and parenting for obvious reasons became my driving force.

Being a single parent can be bloody tough, all that you face on your own, from running back and forth on school pickups, making sure your child is happy and healthy, provided for, cared for, you read all the books, buy all the books, that extra pressure as much as you love it, can cost you and that is what it did, it cost me my individuality and personality.
When faced with being a single parent, you can not move without making sure your child's needs and wants come first, gone are the good old days you can pop to the shop, be it for the smallest of things. Take for instance, at home yesterday cooking dinner and realised I had no onions and needed them, I had to wait for 1 hour before Leanora woke just so that we can pop up the road, that little quality time with you and only you do not come round as often as it once did.
So to reclaim me and my power I had to put myself in check, put aside the nighttime nappies, take some time off from the pre-school run and work my feet out of those Mumma essential trainers and let down my hair and rope in some family and friends to help Mumma get her groove back. Now it took me sometime, I was having loads of excuses, I mean I have loads of jobs, after being a parent, so when I do get some free time, I really like to spend it with Leanora on days out, or at home getting the every growing mountain pile of washing done.

Be A Little Bit Selfish
Now, this sounds harsh, but in order to get you back, you gotta be selfish, you put your kids and they will always be 100% your priority, but how can you give them the best you, if you are not recharged, so get the other parent, family or friends members to give you a night off and be selfish to your babes, for a night out or in!
Get Out With Friends
the best way to find you, is by heading out guys, what better way to feel free and a little like your old self, by meeting up with friends, be it dinner or drinks or both, your head might be a little sore the next day, but your mind will feel great.
Slow Down Rents
Guys, just take it easy, forever running around and mind working overtime, will do you no favours, get organised and do not sweat the small stuff.
Get A Hobby
Be it exercise, which is great, not just for your body, but mind and soul too, plus it is a great way, especially if you take up a class and meet new people! New people, means new friends to connect with.
Are you a single parent, how do you maintain your individuality?

Guess what, Mumma got out! I hardly go out now, but I just had to and I enjoyed it. I was at work on Friday and a friend messaged and said, gurl lets go grab a cheeky drink, I just saw your mum and I know she has Leanora tonight, I was in two minds, you may remember me asking you over Instagram do I stay in and do the washing or go out?! Stuck on a decision on what to do, I spoke to a friend, who gave me some inspiring words, that her mother quoted her 'Your cup is half full, and each time you take a sip, for work, for motherhood, for friends and home, you are slowly emptying that cup, in order to prosper for you and be a better you, you have to fill it up, so why not go out for you and fill your cup back up' Feeling truly inspired and empowered, off out I went.

Being a single parent and my daughters father hardly around, be it though I have a great support network around me, I hardly go out, I feel bad that I am busy working, then blogging, then cooking, parenting and everything else in between, so when I do go out or decide to, I think I should be spending that time with my daughter, but my friends mother was right about refilling your cup, be it if you are a parent or not, once in a while its good to do something for you and that is exactly what I did, something for me, after all I would be no good to anyone, if I am burnt out and not recharged, but don't worry I am lightweight now and I had work the following day and I was safely in bed by the stroke of midnight.

Now the question is what to wear, now still struggling with my Mumma tum, which I am currently working on reducing, I needed something that A, I looked good in, B, more importantly, I felt comfortable in. Who was a saving grace, WearAll, I spotted this fun flirty bardot top, girls moderately upright, a little bit billowy at the bottom, but hey, that is what high-waisted jeans are for right, to hold you in and make you look elongated.
Safely looking like a normal decent lady and feeling good, a much needed night of cocktails and laughter was in order in London town, and all guilt was left at the door. Just remember that self-care should not be last on the list, it should be at the top of your list. Because we all want to be the best version of ourselves.
What do you do for you, to recharge? I would love to hear in the comments below.

We all want to live successful and happy lives, but sometimes we can find ourselves in a rut and not leading a healthy lifestyle and feel that there is no way back to brighter days, well you are wrong. To get out of that doom and gloom is on you kid only you can get you out. But don't worry we all need a little helping hand, even myself, I recently found my self in a horrible situation, which leads me to making bad decisions and life choices, but with a few positive rituals and eating and exercising more, lead to me being more productive, as well as being more organised at work.

To lead a healthy lifestyle, we have to make some healthy lifestyle changes here I am sharing my top 3 to have you in a better healthier mindset.
Get rid of the negativity
This can be the hardest thing, so it is best to start off with it. If you are surrounded by negative people and they do not want what is best and do not have good intentions, why would you even want that person around, you have to remove them from your life, no matter how hard it is and scared it can possibly have you feeling. To improve your life, surround yourself with positive people who want what is best for you.
Treat your body right
This is great to get all those endorphins going, it is a great mood booster and great for your happiness plus it will have you feeling healthier too and ideal for reducing your stress levels. So get up and get out and find a work that best suits you.

Eating right
The best way to start the day is with something healthy and tasty, get rid of all that processed sugar and heavy carbs, that will only leave you feeling sluggish, start your day with the right sweetness, which you can find in a tasty smoothie bowl.
