Every day I'm hustling, hustling, hustling.......Finally, I am doing jobs that I love and when I'm in a happy workplace nothing more rewarding for you and your company by going the extra mile and getting ahead at work.
When you love your job, you are more than willing to jump out of bed with a spring in your step. You go into work your happy, not just within your role but your colleagues too, god knows some can be a pain, but that's ok, today is a new day and a day that you don't mind seeing that sourpuss, your happy to be at work, your positive and you want to get ahead because secretly you love and are happy with you and your role.
Everyone wants to be rewarded and promoted, but it won't just happen overnight, you gotta put the work in. You see yourself wanting to grow and learn within the company you work at, you gotta put the work in love to get noticed and be rewarded. With these practices, you will sure to be promoted in no time.
Know your role, knowledge is key
Once you've grasped an understanding of your role and what you are meant to do, get to know other roles and other departments. Nothing quite like, being able to support or driving revenue to another department.
Share your knowledge and support
We all need help and support and those that you work with need it too. As cliche as it may sound there is no I in team, so share that knowledge whatever it may be, to being kick-arse at a spreadsheet or a whizz kid at coding and if you see someone that needs help, offer some support they will appreciate that support and others may notice and come to you for additional direction.
Get involved
Nothing says I'm here and ready to get involved by actively doing so, by attending work functions, to possible courses they may offer to help you get ahead at work, even if it may not be your division, nothing quite shows gumption than by taking the initiative to grow and learn within the company, besides no one takes a job to be in it for a short period, nothing quite like learning new skills.
Ready, steady, BAKE
Admit it, don't lie now, we all love a cheeky treat with a cuppa! Anyone who says they don't they are LYING, EVERYONE loves a cheeky mid-afternoon treat. So why not occasionally treat your colleagues to something scrumptious. Luckily I made 2 of my bitchin banana bread took them in to work and the greedy sods wolfed it down happily with a cuppa in hand and all departments came together for 20 mins and we had a cheeky chat, which is great not only you get to have a quick catch up and a sweet treat, you get to know others too in different departments, nothing like a treat to bring you all together and a little in-house networking.
Stay ahead
Sort out your checklist, nothing quite like being organised for work and staying on top of things to be able to get ahead, as you never know what could happen, things change all the time. You may find yourself being cancelled on by a client at the last moment, nothing wrong with having a backup plan, schmooze another new potential client, take them out for lunch, drop them an email, to even touching base with their EA.
Be true, be you!
No one wants to work with a phoney, you can spot a deceitful person a mile off, no one wants to work or promote someone who doesn't have the best intentions for the company or true to themselves. People remember those that are true, kind, honest and respectful and so quite simply just be you.

With a new year comes new resolutions. I have never been one to stick to them, I mean at most I'm lucky to stick it out for two months! So instead of making possible breakable New Year resolutions, I'm mixing it up and you should too by doing things for you, your way!
Start Living In The Now
Forget about the past, certainly work towards the future, but focusing on the now is more important. Set out your plan be it daily and focus on new positive things in your life that make you happy.
Ignore what others are doing
Live for you not for others, worry about what is on your plate, it is easy to become engrossed with others, but striving for your own achievements no matter how big or small is a reward in itself. I am all about girl power and 100% in supporting others dreams and goals, but support you first!
Cherish your friendships
Friendships, true friendships do not come around often and I have to say that I've got a great support network, even though over the years it has got smaller, but that is all part of the growing up process and I like my smaller network. This year i'm giving back to those friends and cherishing them more than ever.
End toxic relationships
Nothing like bad relationships to bring you down, with a new year comes new hope. So end and erase toxicity or kill it with kindness.
Make yourself a priority
A must this year as a dear close friend said to me, I am going to be less mum and more ME and I like that I feel that sometimes as parents or not we can get a little lost and everything or everyone else can take over us. So this year I am throwing caution to the wind and Mummas gonna get her groove back to be a better me.
Focus more on work
Last year was the year I wanted to focus more on my blog, but unfortunately due to life, I had to put it on the back burner. I am fortunate to be able to have a blog and such incredible amazing followers, but this year I want to start stepping up my blogging game and bring your more content, amazing content, I am even starting my own Youtube channel so follow me to keep posted on my first video. This year I will also be upping my Instagram game. Currently just over 7k mark, and my goal this year for the first quarter I want to hit 10k so why not head on over and give me a follow.
Thank you to you all for your amazing support throughout the last 2 years and here are too so many more.

A
new day a new month, leads to more and new exciting adventures and more
responsibility, but if like me and any normal person with so much going on,
from managing your home life to carting the kids from school to activity to visiting
the dentist, meeting friends and prepping for holidays away, life can get a
bit much and with so much going on you can forget what needs to be done, but
with a little forward planning and a little patience I am going to help you,
myself too with 4 Ways To Get Shi*T Done This Month! Now, lets smash the hell
of this month, but before we do, let's see what we can do to help us get sh*t
done this month.
Stop
procrastinating
We
are all guilty of it, always thinking it can be done later and put off for
another day, then another. But to be able to get sh*t done this month, you are
going to have to change A) your outlook B) your mindset in order to get
organised. So clear your head, stop avoiding what needs to be done and face it
head on, also by changing your mindset will help, so by simply changing your
beliefs and finding a method that works for you, stick to it, that way you are
able to manage your expectations.
Set
a goal
You
know what needs to be done 95% of the time! So why not set yourself manageable
goals! Write a list. Once you have compiled this month's goals, list it all in
importance then work your way from there. Do not get me wrong, life can throw you a curve ball with
unexpected events, be a chameleon, adapt to your surroundings and you will
surely be able to tick off all those goals.
Get
visual
Nothing
better than being able to see what needs to be done, get a wall chart, get
colour coded (I'm a weirdo, I know, I have this!) But being able to see what
needs to be done in a place you spend/pass most often (kitchen) lets you know
what you have to do this month in order to get sh*t done.
Shut
off from social media
Instagram,
Twitter, Facebook, Daily Mail and Pinterest too, the list can go on and on. We
all have are guilty pleasures which have us perusing for hours on end. You may
have the best intention just for a quick 5-minute look, but is it ever REALLY a
5-minute check, nope! My 5 minutes can turn literally into hours, so step away
from the phone ladies and gents I promise it will be there in a few hours (I
think) and keep it moving.
If
you can put into practice these 4 steps each month I promise, these habits will
essentially become that, habits. Leading you to then end result that you set
out to achieve and want.
How
do you get your sh*t done? I would love to hear your comments below!
