The Parents Guide To Half Term

I don’t know about you but I’m looking forward to this half term, not only do you get to spend it with your favourite humans, there is no getting up early for work or the school run whop whop! Guess who’s gonna treat themselves to new bed sheets for the special occasion....

Where to begin with so much fun stuff going on there is so much to look forward to, weather permitting of course, this week for us Londoners a bout of snow is on the horizon, personally I’m looking forward to it for the snow angels and snowball fights.

Cinema
I don’t know who is more excited Leanora and I and hopefully you too as we are off to watch the new Sonic the Hedgehog movie. All I can here in my head is the Sega Mega Drive coming on....all with me SEGA!

Cooking
Let’s talk everything from breakfast, blueberry breakfast muffins, quorn burgers for lunch, Aubergine lasagna for dinner and funfetti popcorn to doughnuts, forget about dining out and get cooking, plus you’ll save yourself some money too for those half term activities.

Theatre
Still time to catch Cirque Du Soleil’s epic Luiza show at the Royal Albert Hall, perfect for the whole family of all ages to watch this energetic, colourful acrobatic show about the wonder and beauty of Mexico.

Netflix & Chill
What free days are made for simply Netflix & chill. Not everyday you have to go out, yes I know the kids will destroy the house, but we all need a break and half terms can be expensive, so I say make a few favourite snacks dishes, get your comfies on grab the duvet off the bed sit back and relax on the sofa and watch a movie or two. Currently we are watching Locke & Key a great series for the family a little spooky at times, but you’ll know when it’s coming more suitable for older kids, however, another great family movie is Leanora’s favourites Angry Birds & Annie. When the kids are off to bed I’ll be watching The Stranger, I’ve not even started this yet and heard so much great thing about it, have you seen it? I’ve saved it for now so I can binge watch it now that I’ve a few days off from work.

Lightopia
The most amazing light show we’ve ever seen. Last weekend we set off down to Chiswick House & Gardens for a stroll around the park lit up by beautiful light sculptures from tinkerbell, dinosaurs, flowers and animals.

What are your plans this half term? I would love to hear and for you to share in the comments below.
