5 Family Friendly Restaurants

Summer holidays are here, which means more money to be spent on eating out with the kids, but instead of going to the guilty pleasure of Nandos or dare I say it MacDonalds, I found a few great places to take the kids, plus there is even one where kids eat for FREEEEE!

I am a big fan of eating out and at times it can be a struggle on finding somewhere to eat where they allow kids, without fear of upsetting other diners, but Hix Soho understand that adults too want to eat in nice places with their kids, but few restaurants allow this. For those of you that don't know Hix have a great kids food menu and what is even better is kids under 10 eat free, yes I said it FREE Mon-Fri between 4 - 6pm and weekends 12 - 6pm accompanied by a full paying adult.
This is my all time favourite places to be, you could find me here every weekend without fail before I had Leanora. I was in the Portobello area a few weeks back with Leanora and her Godmother Alessia, she suggested we go to E&O which I raised my eyebrows at as I remember the shenanigans that we used to get up to there, but she reassured me that it is very family friendly and they were happy to have Leanora there. She was not wrong, they love having kids, even though it has a grown up adult vibe, kids are certainly welcome and the food when down a treat with Leanora too! So if you are ever in the Portobello area I can not recommend heading to E&O with your little sprogs.

I love this place, noodles, noodles endless noodles, super fun for kids, kids are entertained by colourings books which I always find a treat, especially as sometimes Leanora wants to run off, this keeps her put firmly on our bench, they have a great kids menu too with mains for as little as £4.50.

I love this place ever since it opened its massive double doors years ago. The sun was shining and all I wanted to do was eat ice cream. So Grandad, Leanora & I set off to make our dream come true, so we headed to our local restaurant where we could sit outside and enjoy the sun. When I arrived was unsure about them letting Leanora in, but it was early afternoon and they greeted all three with open arms. The staff are truly amazing and they were super chilled about Leanora being there, in fact, they encourage families on coming in, they have a massive water tank filled with loads of tropical fish to keep the kids entertained, plus they even have a cinema room on the top floor.

Now Friday's I do not like to cook, who does?! What I love about this place not just it's location (Portobello Road) but it's vibe, always packed with kids, a bit loud but never too loud as where no one can hear you, plus they have a great menu, serving anything from breakfast to desserts and they even have separate Saturday and Sunday brunch menus. If not close to Portobello they have 3 other locations in Shoreditch, Kentish Town to Istanbul!

Have you got any great places to go with the kids to eat this summer holiday and is worth checking out?
