With warmer weather settling in and clear blue skies, one thing you can not live without this summer and need to invest in is a linen dress, it's light and airy and perfect especially for the long weekend ahead and beach days.
It is so important for me to find the right dress every summer after all summer sun and holidays is what we live for, this year for me it has to be the classic linen dress, neutrals, earthy tones, stripes and colours, short sleeves, long sleeves, to no sleeves, you name it I'll be wearing it dressed up and down with some new or should I say perfume that I got from Grastisfaction UK.
SHOP MY LOOK

Over the recent weeks, I've been investing in every style and colour linen dresses, they are perfect worn to work, weddings, the races, dressed down with trainers fitting for school runs and other parenting shenanigans or worn to brunch with sandals and statement earrings for Friday night after work drinks. It has become a new best friend, who never lets you down, makes you feel and look great and flatters those lumps and bumps, I'm always trying to cover up.
I wore this striped linen dress from mango who have an amazing range of cooling linen dresses, perfect to withstand the spring, summer months to a coffee date with my sister. It's a classic wardrobe staple and so easy to wear with some flats and a wicker bag which I am chuffed to say I got for £15 in Camden market, next stop a hagglers life for me in Morocco.
I like to go a size up with my linen dresses, pants and shirts, to give it a more relaxed easy-breezy look, after all, linen is supposed to be cooling and chic and easy to wear even though it can be a nightmare to iron. If you are looking to nip in a relaxed linen dress as I know they can look sack-like don't worry and good cinch-style wrap at the waist will leave it looking flattering and you stylish to a tee.
I have certainly found my season must have's, will linen dresses be yours?

Nails are taken care of, it's time to take care of our feet, no matter who you are the most important thing to prep before a holiday is our feet, nice soft supple tootsies are what is in order and a little last minute pedi prep at home Patchology has got you covered. In honesty I am not a major fan of going to the nails salons, too many people a little phobia about who's feet has been in the sink-come-tub freaks me out, so this is perfect to ease my anxiety. Leanora off to bed, time for Mumma to relax, a glass of wine in hand a book in the other and 90 minutes with my feet up in these nifty socks filled with the activating Activating Essence, dissolves dead skin and exfoliate rough patches, while botanical extracts brighten, could not ask for a better night.
Bath time has never been so luxurious thanks to this British brand, Tom Daxon's, paraben free Vachetta shower gel. It has the most luxurious scent and is a great cleanser for the skin, plus a double whammy for this time strapped Mumma it works great as an alternative shaving gel, leaving my skin healthy and moisturised. thanks to the plant keratins and laminaria extract.

I absolutely love Show Beauty's, Body Shimmer Oil, the way my skin looks luminous and glows in the sunlight is amazing, even a little added to the cheekbones it worth its weight in gold. This nourishing oil is infused with a blend of Argan and Jojoba oils, which help leaves skin looking healthy and silky smooth.
The key to surviving a heatwave is with a great moisturiser and Skin Laundry's, Advanced protection Daily Moisturiser SPF35 is simple and straightforward yet highly effective. This lightweight, non-greasy formula provides the ideal balance of daily moisture and environmental protection with broad spectrum SPF 35. I have been using this now for a few weeks and I can say that I am totally impressed, with its lightweight texture, it's matte finish and leaves m,y skin looking and feeling hydrated and radiant.
My overall review, I am glad that I have these products to help me survive the summer sun and will be relying on them for our holiday. At £70 per month it is totally worth it, or if it is a bit to much you can still spoil yourself with MINTD Box newly launched a bi-monthly service. Listen up mummas, I got a few little secrets that your midwife can fail to share with you.....
Recently at work, I've had two lovely women come and help out my department, we've been inundated with work and I always love a little extra help. These two women are pregnant and both gearing up for maternity leave, being the only one in my office to be a parent, I knew that I would be inundated with baby questions and chat. Being an old pro at this parenting malarkey, now that Leanora turned 4 last week I kinda got this parenting thing down....... well one hopes anyway.
First thing is first I loved being pregnant, even though I was probably a pain in the arse to most, I thrived, until I hit a few bubbly roads, that my midwife or antenatal teacher neglected to let me know. For those that are planning a pregnancy or those that are currently pregnant, I've knocked up a list of things your midwife doesn't tell you.
Hair loss
Pregnancy glow is a real thing, if it may lack in your skin, your hair certainly benefits from pregnancy, your hair grows, strengths and has a nice sheen to it and I loved it, my hair never grew so much in such a short space of time and that is due to the hormone boost in your body. What anyone failed to tell me, 18 months after pregnancy that your hair falls out. Hair loss is a big thing for those that have had a baby, it does not necessarily occur just after you stop breastfeeding, it can start in the postpartum period also. But to help restore and keep your car healthy taking vitamins is vital and a good massage to the scalp when washing will help stimulate your hair follicles to promote growth, but for those that have suffered severe hair loss, I know of some mothers that have sort hair transplant in London.
Sight loss
I have worn glasses for as long as I can remember, my prescription has probably changed 3 times in my life, that's not bad for someone who has been wearing glasses and contacts 25+ years. But whilst pregnant and on route to work, I was gearing up to cross the road, busy screaming teens either side of me on route to work madden wth McDonald's, I started getting a really bad headache I thought nothing of it maybe the smell of egg mcmuffins causing me to be queasy, but later on crossing same said road (on route to McD's for my craving of chips and milkshake, the two dipped together makes sweet harmony) I found that I was actually struggling to see and straining to see what was ahead of me, thus leading me to have regular headaches. Fed up glasses and contacts not working, plus the fact I had nearly been knocked over twice, I headed straight to the opticians who informed that this was quite normal in pregnancy and to not worry about it, it will go back to normal after pregnancy and can you believe not to get a new prescriptive eyewear!!! Obviously, I ignored this poor response and slightly annoyed that midwife failed to tell me that this could happen, but for me, safety for me and my unborn daughter comes first and changed my lenses twice throughout pregnancy. So if you feel you are having headaches and straining your eyes, I completely recommend seeing your optician.
Snoring & nose bleeds
Unfortunately with most pregnant snoring can be a big factor and one that I did not even know was a thing, when I snored so loud I woke my damn self up and had my mother and her friend laughing at me as they never heard anything like it before. The good thing is that if like myself you were never a snorer before pregnancy, you will most likely to stop after you had your baby. The reason why we snore is due to high levels of hormones oestrogen and progesterone cause the blood vessels in your nose to open wider (hence my extra largeness throughout pregnancy) causing congestion, this also can lead to you having nose bleeds which explain the few I had.
I hope these tips and advice are helpful before, after and during pregnancy and would love to hear your thoughts in the comments below.

Have you ever just entered a room and you instantly felt more relaxed, at peace and at one with yourself, all your worries left at the door and felt as though you have been transported to a beautiful country such as Croatia, Greece or even my next holiday adventure to Morocco thanks to Holiday Gems, very cheap holidays.
That is how your bedroom should make you feel each time you enter. Your bedroom, not just your home, should be your safe haven. Your bedroom a place of peace and calm and filled with just you, kids too if you've got them and a few good scented candles to relax your mind, help get rid of pesky smells, such as smoke, a good way to help stop is with a little advice from Nicotinell who's website is jammed packed with a great tips. and some crisp new sheets and bedding.
Colour
When thinking about how you want your bedroom to make you feel, you have to start off with your colour scheme. Lighter, brighter colours give you a softer vibe, calming greens, pale blues, to even light shades of greys to help relax your mind, darker colours sucks as reds absorb the light from your room, giving it a more sexier style. You really have to think about what tranquillity what emotion you want to embrace, after all, other than the office this is where you will be spending most of your time.
Bed
The pièce de résistance of your bedroom is a bed, nothing says comfort and luxury than a good bed, I recently invested in an upholstered one from Bed Guru, it was hard to choose but I think I made the right decision and went with a glamorous velvet upholstered bed.
Lighting
The mood has to be just right, if you do not have dimmers, then a good table lamp, candles too can help you set the mood and lighting to your desired requirements for a chilled vibe. A little tip that I got off mu Mumma, was that she puts her table lamp on the floor for a more cosy atmosphere.
Accessories
Accessories make the room, it brings it life and adds a touch of your character and personality to it, plus a few flowers along with family or artsy artwork adds an automatic lift to the room, bringing peace and harmony and love together.
I hope these tips and ideas help bring an uplift into your bedroom.
