With the end of the month here and may be all spent out from the summer holiday activities with the kids, I have some fun and cheap things you can do this weekend under £20.00

1. Museum

There so many cool exhibitions on at the moment, our favourite new one was at 180 The Strand, incredibly beautiful immersive experience which you can see here via our TikTok

2. Buy a Book

We've been reading up a storm along with also making sure Leanora is keeping on top of all her maths work, so she doesn't fall behind and she has a head start before the new school year starts, plus you know me I love a new thriller action.

3. Pamper Night

After a long week, Leanora and I love going to our local Boots or even TK Maxx, buying new nail polish and few fancy face masks and hand gloves, on a Saturday and curl up on the sofa armed with a massive bowl of pasta and having a chilled girly night in whilst watching a family movie .

4. Bowling

Bring on game day, we are super competitive and I wouldn't have it any other way, well maybe not at this moment in time as I am suffering with Sciatica so Leranora and friends have the upper hand but bare with me, in a few weeks this Mummas going to take them all down. We love a game day and our favourite game to play is bowling

5. Go To The Beach

The weekends are the cheapest times to get tickets to go have a splash at the seaside, even if not for the sea, it is always great to get out of the hometown and see some new sights, for some fresh and chippys and bot of rock.

6. Catch A Movie

Cineworld and Vue have a great family offer, from 10am they show family friends movies and cartoon's from as little as £2.50.

7. Food Market

If you know me, you know I love food and if there is a market on you better believe you will find me there bells ringing and all. I love to keep costs low and what better way to give yourself a limit and see what you can get for £20. Start of with maybe some fresh pastries and coffees, go for a walk around town before you head back in for lunch and see what delicious treats you can get.

8. Go To The Lido

This summer we spent loads of time sunning and swimming at our local Lido in Tooting, there are so many in and around London, so if you can not get to the beach why not book yourself in for a swim at your local Lido.

9. Cook for friends and family

Instead of dining our, why not get some friends and family and over for a little afresco dining if you have outside space, or dine if not and rustle up one of my favourite and affordable cheap eats, such as my Provolone Chicken Rollatini  followed by Lemon and Pictahio cake

10. Go To The Theatre

Official London Theatre have some great offers, where kids can currently go for free as well as some other great affordable theatre tickets that you can bag for under £20.000 why not head on over and catch a little matinee.

Make sure to come back and see what else I will be adding to the list. I am also planning on creating a list of cheaper things to do plus a whole load of free thing for you and the family.

Don't forget you can follow us on Instagram and TikTok too.

It are these times of the year that I love, with London fully open, the kids on half term and so many exciting things to do and see, plus eat and the weather being lush. We have listed 4 amazing things to do in London this half term with the kids, no kids don't worry it's something for even big kids too that don't have little's.

Theatre

We had the lovely opportunity recently to attend to watch Wicked, the musical, which were invited by  ATG (Ambassador Theater Group) they offer a great selection of affordable tickets online of the latest theatrical shows in London and I can not recommend Wicked enough, it is certainly defying gravity in awesomeness and we will definitely be watching this a second time, we loved it so much we downloaded the album for it. A trip to the theatre is amust this halfterm, so much so were going to see for the first time The Lion King, have you seen any of these shows?

Bowling

We are big bowlers in my house, granted I always lose but it is always still fun, we were invited to attend the recently refurbished Tenpin in Kingston for a game of bowling and dining, plus they have an amazing arcade to enjoy also, you ay remember seeing Leanora car racing over on our Intagram Reels.

British Museum

Leanora recently attended the British Museum for her school trip, they are currently learning all about the egyptians, and we are going back there this week to go and explore all things in relation to  Mummification, magic and ritual are investigate through the objects on display here, who said you can't learn on a half term.

Bubble Tea

We have a new found obsession with bubble tea, every week we always stock up on noodles and other goodies at our favourite Korean supermarket in Leciester Square, Oseyo and we love trying out there vast array of drinks and we have been trying loads and we are revierwing some canned bubble teas which will be uploaded later to our TikTok account. But we decided to upgrade and becomme conniseurs of bubble tea and our new favourite place to get fresh bubble tea is at Xing Fu Tang, they are littlerally to die for.

PS. If it helps I got a further 8 things to do this half term as well being London 5 family rainy day activities also.

Don't forget you can keep upto date with what we are doing over on Instagram and some of our latest videos on TikTok and shop all our looks via LTK.

An utterly new charming restaurant has recently opened in my home town of clapham. Hungry as always and eaten in pretty much every restaurant in Clapham for lunch, I was pleasantly surprised to find a new restaurant nestled in the heart of Clapham Old Town, Megan’s.

I met up with a few friends for lunch, for a little catch up and we are all big foodies, so it was the natural choice to come here for lunch, that way we can all get something different and able to share the Mediterranean delights that Megan’s have to offer, well they didn’t know it, but I’m always thinking ahead, well belly first.

Limited to an hour, we didn’t bother with starters we got stuck in to mains straight away.

After a night out drinking and partying, I always will be naughtily found in a kebab shop, I mean who doesn’t love a good kebab, but the next day you can be left feeling very questionable. We’ll roll up to Megan’s and they too serve kebabs, ‘Posh Kebabs’ to be precise, so it would be rude not to order these.

2 lamb doners, served on the fluffiest of flat breads, with harissa hummus, pickles, feta and pistachio with the most mouth-wateringly delicious fall off the bone lamb shoulder was simply divine and melts in the mouth, was followed by a lot of ‘mmms’ and ‘aahhs’ and lot of eye rolls. If I could I would be more than happy to just eat a bowl a hefty one of this lamb shouler.

Beth went with the moorish chicken, served with peanut dukka, it was nice and light and fresh, but don’t be fooled it sure packs a punch in flavour, I did end up eating this with her or for her, however you like.

Now when I see halloumi fries on a menu, anything halloumi in fact, it would be rude not too order. They were crispy on the outside and salty and delicious on the inside, followed with a pot of normal fries of course.

A superb lunch spot, the decor is amazing and the staff are friendly. I know I will be back, to try there tasty cakes plus brunch menu.

Now time to walk off the lunch, always a good sign if you've left content and fancy a little snooze.

You can find Megan's at: 55-57 The Pavement, Clapham, London SW4 0JQ

We’ve all had the chat, pretty much on a daily basis, for me it is probably the one of the most talked about discussions that we have in the office! Where to eat and drink in London.

With so many restaurants, pop up’s, dining events, food markets, tv shows (my favourite, Come Dine With Me) even to those that love cooking for friends and family be it at home or a new thing which I love is, hosted dinner or brunch in a private dining rooms, we are simply spoilt for choice. I love to be adventurous and enjoy trying new dishes and cuisines from all over the world and I find that my hometown London offers that.

Honestly going out to dine in London is one of my favourite things to do here, be it on my lunch break, out and about with Leanora or friends and family, it is like each week something new and interesting is opening up on the streets here, it’s so diverse and I have to say I am quite spoilt for choice. I think for us Londoners or those that come over here for holidays, love and know that you can find a great place to eat and drink here, be it for a family get together to a reunion and catch up with friends, or those that crave a little something new  or a little bit more intimate for date night, you know that you have come to the right place!

To keep me up to date on what is new and trending and helping me find something a little different I can always be found scouring the squaremeal website for something a little different and innovative, be it a 10 piece tasting menu being offered, which does not only tickle my taste buds, but also makes for a great present for a friend. You will also find restaurants that have popped up in your local area, or if you fancy something a little further afield.

Another great source of finding something new and different is via Instagram, with restaurants and cafes all vying for the perfect instagrammable decor be it cafes with bright pink exteriors, flower walls, futuristic egg shaped toilets, to horticultural inspired eateries for people to come eat and drink and take a selfie or two, it anther great source and friendly place to start for the perfect London dining experience.

Speaking of yummy food, I’ve loads of tasty dishes that I’ve made which you can find on my recipe section here or you can also find what I’ve been whipping up on my Bloglovin page and inspo over on Pinterest, plus keep your eyes peeled and check back as I’ll be sharing a new dish this week on the blog.

I am always in the hunt for something new and interesting to try so if you know if any great spots be it new or old, I would love for you to share it with me in the comments below.

With the temperatures starting to soar, I find myself eating a lot less hot foods, who wants to eat a pie or lasagne for lunch, we are looking for something lighter, fresher and healthy too, so if you are looking for a great little lunch spot, be it if you are vegan, vegetarian, pescatarian or chicken lover like myself Abokado have a new range of vitality salads to see you through the summer.

So all you Londonites you are in luck, with 23 restaurants dotted around London you will never be too far from Abokado and I have to say, they serve some of the best food in London Town

Abokado have a huge new salad and drinks menu to work your way through, so no more unhealthy lunches opt for something new, healthy and light this summer.

Light, fresh, exceptional salads are on offer, there will be something to tickle everyone's taste buds.

Chicken, avocado, pomegranate, raw rainbow slaw mix, quinoa, lentils & rocket a healthy but hearty dish is what I went for.

Aliesha tucked into the fragrant warm spiced, Turmeric cauliflower, feta, pomegranate, mixed seeds & nuts, kale & root vegetables before I even had a chance to look up and taste she had wolfed the lot down.

Sushi grade tuna & salmon, mango, sesame seaweed, pickled cabbage, coriander, chilli, lime, cucumber, spinach, courgette & carrots, poke bowl which we doused in the best soy and hot sauce not that it needed it, naked works perfectly fine too.

They also have an array of fresh juices to wash down the salads all made fresh daily, my favourite has to be Rise n Shine, consisting of Apple, Mint, Lemon truly refreshing and delicious.

We waddled back to the office like little piggies, stuffed nicely with our healthy lunch and thinking about what we are going to have for our healthy lunch tomorrow.

Honestly, I love this place, I can not sing its praises enough and I am so glad that husband and wife Mark and Lindsey brought back their healthy eating and food adventure back from Oz in 2004 and set up Abokado.

Trust me this is just veganning of your love of Abokado.

Um, we all love a half day from work am I right? I did just that, broke my gal out of preschool early with a little help from Gett and Porsche and we set off cruising around London for the afternoon for a little adventure and some quality mummy and daughter time.

With work being so hectic at the moment I've not been able to get some little dates in with my gal, just me and her, her and me. Racking my brain on what we should do where we should go, not that it would matter much, as long as I am with her is the main thing, but I wanted it to be, in Leanora's words 'The best day ever'. So when Gett got in touch, I hatched a plan on braking my gal out in style and day filled with fun.

Travelling around with a toddler can be super stressful, especially when you do not drive, so I have been relying heavily on my Gett app to get us round in comfort, less stress and in style as well as being hassle-free, especially as we do not have to find or pay for any parking, so makes it easier for us to hop in and hop out of our car.

Porsche ordered from our Gett app, laptop shut down, jacket on, I said peace out to the ladies in the office and I made a beeline to the exit of the building, and slid into the waiting, open doors of our chariot for the day. We set off across London to get Leanora, not before a few quick work calls and answered emails, I know what can I say I'm a workaholic, but with phone and iPad charges available it would have been rude of me to not of taken advantage to get some quick emails in.

Scooped Leanora out of preschool we bounced into the car and set off for our first adventure, the Natural History Museum, to see the Butterfly exhibition. The look on Leanora's face was pure bliss, she is nuts about butterflies, if we could I am sure she would have taken them home, Milo I am sure would have been pleased. I'm not gonna lie I was a bit of a scaredy cat, things flying around and what could potentially land and poop on you I wasn't 100% keen on it, but I had to man up, I mean if I can give birth I can sure as hell face beautiful butterflies. So I did, with flying colours.

Still keen to enjoy roaming around we headed out of the butterfly tent and set off around to explore so more wonders of the museum.

Not realising how hungry you can get from roaming the museum. I decided it was high time to set about calling our Gett x Porsche to take us to dinner at our new fave pizzeria, Pizza Pilgrims.

For me and most parents, saving in any form is a bonus, and I love the fact you can earn points when booking with the Gett app and work your way towards saving money from future rides. Another bonus is, you can also get to choose the music before you get in, choose how chatty your driver is too, which is perfect if you have chatty toddlers like Leanora and tired Mumma's who just wanna kick back when we head home.

For those who sign up with the Gett app, you can get £10 credit off your first ride with LINDSEY10

This is the thing, I love food! I am always on the hunt for something tasty and new especially when it comes to lunch. Whilst I love to bring in a packed lunch, there are days you just need to get out of the office get some fresh air and hunt for something tasty, possibly a little bit naughty, but all in all a healthy lunch!

I think I have found the new eatery in London......Abokado!

I suggest grabbing a work colleague and heading out to Abokado! With our bellies craving for something nice rich and tasty and food that makes you feel great, you gotta head to Abokado, a family run business and stone's throw from my office in Holborn.

With so much food choice on offer, on the bustling Holborn High Road, Wasabi, Itsu, Pret & Leon, the new underdog Abokado has become a new favourite of mine. It's light, it's healthy but it packs a whopping punch of taste and I will be happy to live in here until I work my way through the whole menu.

Regrettably, let me say from the start, I wished I had brought the whole office with me, so that I could have tried everything on the menu, but that is ok, its affordable, staff are friendly and there is so much choice, from sushi, wraps, ramen, rice dishes and some vibrant poke salads.

My colleague Inka went for Chicken Katsu, it was nutty and sweet, with a touch of heat all you could want from a katsu curry.

For my lunch I went for the Chargrilled Chicken Udon Soup, it was rich it was indulgent I could have literally lived in the pot.

Abokado hands down is a must go to for something a little special on your lunch break, so grab your colleagues, grab your friends for some lunchtime perfection.

You can find Abokado all over London. So, no matter where you are in London Town, Abokado is a stone's throw away, so find you're local here.

I've realised and embraced, the fact that my daughter loves dressing up at any given opportunity and you know what I'm ok with it and I secretly loving buying her new costumes also, lets just not let her know that shall we!

Ever since we went to IKEA a few months back Leanora has an obsession with hot dogs, with lashings of ketchup, (utterly hate the stuff, smells weird) and what better way than saving the day on a day spent exploring London by fuelling up and trying out The Diner, in The Strands new Vegan menu, drum roll they have whooping great big hot dogs.

Bundled on the tube and fighting our way to get a seat and Leanora then nearly falling asleep, we finally made it to The Diner, to try out their tasty vast Vegan menu with some friends in tow.

We are always on the hunt for something new and tasty, especially when it involves some sweet potato fries and lashings of melted cheese on top and everyone's favourite good old mac n cheese.

Today I knew was going to be a good day, I work long weeks and last week I can not believe I clocked up 60+ hours at work, so it's important for me to make sure that my weekends are for Leanora, friends and family too, so we are always on an adventure cramming loads of sightseeing, food and giggles in and who better to spend it with than my cutie superhero.

What I love about London is that it is literally the food hub of the world, with new openings on a weekly basis, something from all over the world it's hard to not find something to suit everyone's taste, plus they are becoming more family friendly too.

Snuggly tucked away into our booth, we all knew what we wanted and set to order straight away and we wasted no time in ordering errthing!!

I love nothing more than a burger and don't get to have them often, so as soon as I saw the southern fried seitan burger I was all over it, I mean it's insanely good, I've had one before and hands down I rather eat this than a normal burger, plus you can't even tell that it's not even meat.

Fries, fries, fries, sweet potato fries oh how we loved thee and you made my heart skip a beat with cheese, I mean it's like little angels singing to you, well ones that we are going to wolf down and these sweet potato fries are simply heavenly. Crispy and sweet, what more could you want........

A bad boy side of vegan mac n cheese, I was a bit dubious, does it taste the same as normal mac n cheese, does it look the same, what can I say see for yourself and sorry to Sarah and the kids for eating it all and going into a mac n cheese coma!!

It was a thumbs up for Leanora for her veggie hot dog. Elias enjoyed it too.

Sarah went for the nacho salad, which was whopper I mean it was a mammoth of a salad, served in a crispy cajun roasted taco shell.

All giggly and stuffed, we headed for a stroll around the strand with the kids, them running off and hoping we could ketchup.

A massive thanks to The Diner for having us and we will be back soon to try out the vegan pancakes soon.

You can find The Diner at The Strand here for their Vegan menu, plus Soho and Islington too.

My jumper is from H&M and bag from Primark, Leanora's superhero costume is from Marks & Spencer's.
