That feeling of waking up in the middle of the night, grappling with your bedside lamp, hard to locate as you can barely open dry irritable eyes, all thanks to the contact lenses you were too lazy to take out, sound familiar! You! That’s me pretty me much most nights.

I’ve been blind as a bat since the age of 8 years old, where I spent most of my child and teen years looking like Penfold from Danger Mouse and now that I am in my 30's I have finally decided to embrace wearing my glasses.

Whilst life can be a little trickier with glasses, I mean the number of times I've left them on my desk or bedside table in a mad dash can be somewhat frustrating, however I find that they are more comfortable than my contact lenses, but saying that it did take me a day or two to finally adjust back to wearing glasses again.

With the right pair of glasses, you can feel your best, but with so many shapes and styles it can be hard to find the perfect pair, for me I say embrace them all, don't just stick to the bog standard owl, cat eye, square shapes, but be experimental and get creative, be it with colour, metal you name it.

If you are fading it hard to find the perfect pair of sunglasses in store, you can even by your own pair and have your prescriptive lenses installed at your local opticians. If you are looking for something a little luxurious then Net-A-Porter / Net-A-Porter USA have you covered something a little more affordable then ASOS /ASOS USA have an abundance of designers stocked, they even have their own range with various affordable styles.

The season has finally changed and I feel like I can breathe again and my spirit is lifted. Spring brings about new inspirations, bright longer days and the trees bloom with beautiful magnolias and other pretty spring blossom blooms.

I am loving that when I wake up in the morning I am doing so much more and when I leave work it’s still nice and bright outside, which makes me feel energised and instead of jumping on the tube I pop my headphones and walk home listening to my favourite podcasts.

There are 4 things to look forward to this Spring and I am sharing my fabulous 4 with you!

Linen
I am drawn to lighter fabrics in the Spring months it’s nice and light and so breathable a classic piece to your Spring wardrobe. Quite frankly I love Mangos linen dresses, they have so many which I have left for you to peruse below along with some other brands too.

Brighter days
With the clocks changing in a few days, we will have a lot more brighter days for longer, no more waking up in the dark and having to drag yourself out of bed and then finishing work in darkness. I say make the most of the daylight saving season and get out as much as possible and enjoy it.

Early morning run
Now, this is my favourite thing to do in Spring! Whilst I wake up a little earlier, which is fine as I am an early bird knowing that you have to wait until midday, I can get out so much earlier for an early morning run, it’s a great way to start your day before work or whatever you have planned, it totally puts you in a great mindset and ready to face the day and leaves you so much healthier at the same time.

Flowers
With cherry blossom trees bursting all over the place making our view a lot more pleasurable and pretty daffodils springing up all over the parks, I know it’s time for my favourite blooms to soon arrive in to the flower stalls and supermarkets and I’m bursting with excitement as I can not wait to see and buy my favourite peony flowers to brighten up not only my day but home to, I think adding flowers in to ones home is not only uplifting but the bring beautiful scent in also.

What do you love most about Spring?

One of my current staples that I am buying in all styles is a dress, nothing better than wearing a dress to beat the heat.

London's temperatures are soaring and happy to say that there doesn't seem to be an end to its beauty for the next few weeks, I can honestly say that I think summer is here to stay and I am more than happy to combat hay fever and the humid commute to work, as I am keeping my cool in dresses perfect for a summers day and stretching into the night.

I was in my element, my comfort zone as it were in this dress from Stradvarius (black version), I was a little unsure if it would keep me cool as it's knitted just like this one I also got from M&S but I'm not gonna lie they are perfect for this weather, it's not a heavy knit, light enough to get the air in, plus its hot a great flattering shape so that it billows at the bottom drawing some cool air up, they are both perfect for summer walks through the park and to beat the summer heat, just make sure you top on the sunscreen for you and the family.

Honestly when it comes to dress shopping who has the time trapesing from store to store to find the perfect dress to keep cool in this summer, hands up, not I! But I got you covered as I did the legwork for you, all you need to do is just add slides, or comfy trainersgold hoops and cat-eye sunnies.

The birds are chirping, coffee is brewing, the cat is purring whilst curled up by your feet and you are lazily watching the news with one eye open and you've not yet drawn the curtains to let the sun come flooding in, why because you've got a day off from work and going to take your day in its stride.

We all love a cheeky day off from work,  nothing to do but just relax, for me I love these days, but do you ever feel later on in the night, or the next day fuming you've got go back to work and make that awful commute back on the tube (bloody hate the stupid Central line, why is it so effing hot!) that you didn't make the most of your day, yet you return to work sluggish and feeling more mentally and physically burned out and not well rested and been productive and all that you had planned to do failed!

With a few healthy and handy tips below, you will re-emerge to work feeling refreshed, renewed and have a healthier mindset once you've learned how to do the most on your day off from work.

Do those errands
With busy lives, the small things can get pushed to one side and put off to another day, but I say, get up and go and get to it! Nothing better than feeling energised, so jump out of bed, open the curtains and get moving, your mind, body and soul will feel better for it and physical movement is good for us and boost happy endorphins.

Eat Well
We all love a cheat day and when at work it is easier to grab something out at the local street food or super market, or cheeky macdonalds we all fall off the wagon from time to time, but why not make something at home and prepare your meals for the week. Not will you be saving yourself money you will be eating a lot more healthier too.

Book In A Treat
You work hard so play hard, book yourself in for a little mani/pedi, or go and get your hair done, to curling up and reading that book you've meaning to this month. Take care of yourself, enjoy the simple pleasures that make you happy and smile.

Schedule Your Time
Break up and schedule your day, this is great for prioritising and getting things done in order to get everything in and sorted before you return back to work, but make sure to give your self some much needed time off.
