A new day a new month, leads to more and new exciting adventures and more responsibility, but if like me and any normal person with so much going on, from managing your home life to carting the kids from school to activity to visiting the dentist, meeting friends and prepping for holidays away, life can get a bit much and with so much going on you can forget what needs to be done, but with a little forward planning and a little patience I am going to help you, myself too with 4 Ways To Get Shi*T Done This Month! Now, lets smash the hell of this month, but before we do, let's see what we can do to help us get sh*t done this month.

Stop procrastinating
We are all guilty of it, always thinking it can be done later and put off for another day, then another. But to be able to get sh*t done this month, you are going to have to change A) your outlook B) your mindset in order to get organised. So clear your head, stop avoiding what needs to be done and face it head on, also by changing your mindset will help, so by simply changing your beliefs and finding a method that works for you, stick to it, that way you are able to manage your expectations.

Set a goal
You know what needs to be done 95% of the time! So why not set yourself manageable goals! Write a list. Once you have compiled this month's goals, list it all in importance then work your way from there. Do not get me wrong, life can throw you a curve ball with unexpected events, be a chameleon, adapt to your surroundings and you will surely be able to tick off all those goals.

Get visual
Nothing better than being able to see what needs to be done, get a wall chart, get colour coded (I'm a weirdo, I know, I have this!) But being able to see what needs to be done in a place you spend/pass most often (kitchen) lets you know what you have to do this month in order to get sh*t done.

Shut off from social media
Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, Daily Mail and Pinterest too, the list can go on and on. We all have are guilty pleasures which have us perusing for hours on end. You may have the best intention just for a quick 5-minute look, but is it ever REALLY a 5-minute check, nope! My 5 minutes can turn literally into hours, so step away from the phone ladies and gents I promise it will be there in a few hours (I think) and keep it moving.

If you can put into practice these 4 steps each month I promise, these habits will essentially become that, habits. Leading you to then end result that you set out to achieve and want.

How do you get your sh*t done? I would love to hear your comments below!

These little tips are a surefire way to help boost your productivity. We set out with the best intentions, but things always seem to get in the way, we put it off and tell ourselves we will get to it later, later turns into tomorrow, tomorrow turns into next week, until we realise it's too late and something else requires our attention and I for one am certainly guilty of all of the above, so lets get over all that procrastinating and let's get productive!

What you and I need to realise, if you want to get shit done no one else is going to do it for you, so get your butt into gear and get prioritising, it's not hard, but practice makes perfect right!?

Well the answer to that is simply yes, but just writing this alone, I've been distracted, new emails have come in, my daughter, the cat and to top it off, I've got the TV on! (Damn you TOWIE) Coffee is required, then I'm thinking about where to grab coffee later and then a little Pinterest and Instagram roaming, then I find myself circling back to where I actually need to be.

Sound familiar?

My head is clearly clouded and then one way to clear it, is to make a plan and actually be productive and organise my surroundings for the task at hand and I have a great post that this is also great if you are in a blogging slump.

So grab a notebook, post-it note (I love these) iPad, whatever I've got a wee little list, 6 in fact, ways to actually help you be productive.

PRIORITISE
When making your list, think about what is important what requires your attention first and foremost, on then can you truly get organised. Once you have made that list, that's your first step to being productive and readies you to tackle what is required doing.

SWITCH OFF AND TAKE A BREAK
No matter what you are doing, it is vital to relax your brain and body and take that much-needed break, the worst thing you can do is try to tackle something in frustration. Be it going for a walk, listening to some music or cooking, once you have had that down time you will be ready to conquer and be productive.

LET GO OF BAD ENERGY
Nothing is more infectious and can get you down than being in a negative space and this can really set you/us back in life and stop us in being productive. What you have to remember is tomorrow will be better, life will go on and in helping you be productive I have 5 ways to have a better day, or get out and go do something that YOU love to do.

PREP YOUR DAY FROM THE NIGHT BEFORE
The best way to get productive is preparation, preparation is key. So prep for tomorrow the night before, think about what you are going to do, wear and go and have everything all organised, you can even make breakfast ahead so you are all sorted for the morning.

GET A GOOD NIGHT'S SLEEP
In order to be productive, you need to have energy and being well rested is the way to go and get ready to smash it and get you out of that slump. A good night sleep is so beneficial to our health and helps reduce our stress levels.

What are your tips on being productive?

1.  Go For A Walk
Nothing better than getting some fresh air into your lungs. A 20 minute walk outside, will help to clear your mind, boost your moody and get your creative juices flowing and get for a bit of a workout.

2. Say Good Morning
To start my day off in the best way possible, the first thing I do when I leave my home and close my gate, the first person I see, I smile and say good morning. Honestly, it works trust me, a smile is infectious and can cheer up the grumpiest of souls, plus you are always guaranteed to get a good morning back, you will find that you have not just started your day better, but you've made someone else's day better too.

3. Pick Up A Book
I love to read, I do not get a chance to read as much as I do, but reading relaxes me and makes me feel good, so if I know I will be having a mad dash day, but will be going on the tube or bus (child free) I will always make sure to bring a book. Two weeks ago something somewhat embasrraingly fun happened to me, I bought a new book from Waterstones it seemed like a nice easy read, only to feel someone watching me, their was this girl smirking at me and looking to and throw at me and the book, I thought it she alright, bloody weirdo! The all of a sudden 'Shut The Front Door' I got to page 28 or 34 and 'Sweet Potato Pie' my mouth dropped open and I shut the book quickly! I only picked up a dirty book and the bloody cow knew, she literally knew, it will like 8:45 in the bleeding morning and their I am, Muggins! Reading a bit of porn on the tube, it swiftly went back in my bag, but I be honest it did make my day and clearly this how do I put her Voyeur lol!

4. Get Up And Dance
Turn up the radio, get your favourite album on and shake your tail feather and bust a move like jagger! Listening and dancing to music helps boost your mood and can help release endorphins, plus it is also a great way to get some exercise in, so I  bring it, and join me in and lets dance our way to happiness.

5. Meet Up With Friends
Be it for coffee or drinks or even going to a party with good friends, spending time with the ones that make you laugh and support you is a sure way to have a better day.

I hope these little tips help you to have a better day! If you have any great tips on having a better day, please do share them below I would love to hear them. If you like this post, you may also like my 5 Things To Do When Having A Slump post.
