With the summer sun taking a long time to reach the UK I can finally say it has arrived.
With the heatwave set to continue this week I need no excuse to get my myself some new and much needed cooling dresses on and if you’re anything like me, the heat gives you no excuses to purchase some new dresses.

Last weekend was glorious it was great seeing people finally out and about, I spent Saturday strolling and sightseeing around London with a little picnic in the park and had a lovely beach day with Leanora and my mum!
With my skin now sun kissed and glowing I want to wear dresses that highlight my new found long awaited glow. I plan on wearing a lot of colour this summer to help bring out my new glow along with white dresses which always look great along tanned skin.
I recently did my first ever IG Reel in my new green dress, I was utterly nervous but inspired to create more, until then you can watch it here and see my gorgeous dress which I wore out on my girlie Saturday day and this is where the idea came from to write this post and share all the heatwave dresses you need now!

Don’t worry I’ve got something for everyone and at all price ranges too. I found some great pieces from Nastygal, Amazon to & Other Stories.

If my wardrobe is filled with just one thing this summer, the requirement is dresses, midi dresses, maxi dresses, linen dresses, give me all the dresses my wardrobe, nay! My house can handle.

As you may have noticed, I have gone colour mad over on my Instagram, Leanora too and I my new favourite ,is this gem from Monki! Whilst I love the floral pattern, it was the bright colours that got me, my heart was totally racing for it and new I just had to have it, mind you it took me 2 weeks for my size to come in stock, but what can I say, I can 't let and affordable dress pass me by.
Whilst I am all about the colour this summer, I do like to keep my dresses simple and tailored, especially for work, that way I can add an additional if needed touch of colour to my work wear look, with a good pair of must have summer sandals.
I've trawled the web, for you all and found a vast amount of affordable dresses, which will have you scrolling and dressed all the way through summer and perfectly dressed for every occasion, through summer.

Oh summer, you do not disappoint, you've turned up and showered us with this glorious heat, all is needed is a few spring summer linen dress to keep cool, added bonus a cheeky cold beverage a little ice cream and we are living life like it is golden.

Each day I am seriously just lapping up the sun, taking advantage of late summer nights and paddling pools and throw in a cheeky mother and daughter diner dates too, always require a pretty summer dress to wear.
Over the last few days, I have searched high and low on my favourite online retailers, to bring you a collection of the prettiest spring summer linen dresses, to see you through the season, from summer weddings, to picnic dates in the park with friends and kiddos, to dinner with the girls and of course some smart ones for work also, as well as a few date night pieces.

So with that said and pay day soon on the horizon, why not book mark a few from my selection to purchase in a few days time.
What linen dresses from the selection above will you be investing in this summer, or maybe you spotted a few others, if so let me know in the comments below!

The season has finally changed and I feel like I can breathe again and my spirit is lifted. Spring brings about new inspirations, bright longer days and the trees bloom with beautiful magnolias and other pretty spring blossom blooms.
I am loving that when I wake up in the morning I am doing so much more and when I leave work it’s still nice and bright outside, which makes me feel energised and instead of jumping on the tube I pop my headphones and walk home listening to my favourite podcasts.
There are 4 things to look forward to this Spring and I am sharing my fabulous 4 with you!
Linen
I am drawn to lighter fabrics in the Spring months it’s nice and light and so breathable a classic piece to your Spring wardrobe. Quite frankly I love Mangos linen dresses, they have so many which I have left for you to peruse below along with some other brands too.

Brighter days
With the clocks changing in a few days, we will have a lot more brighter days for longer, no more waking up in the dark and having to drag yourself out of bed and then finishing work in darkness. I say make the most of the daylight saving season and get out as much as possible and enjoy it.
Early morning run
Now, this is my favourite thing to do in Spring! Whilst I wake up a little earlier, which is fine as I am an early bird knowing that you have to wait until midday, I can get out so much earlier for an early morning run, it’s a great way to start your day before work or whatever you have planned, it totally puts you in a great mindset and ready to face the day and leaves you so much healthier at the same time.
Flowers
With cherry blossom trees bursting all over the place making our view a lot more pleasurable and pretty daffodils springing up all over the parks, I know it’s time for my favourite blooms to soon arrive in to the flower stalls and supermarkets and I’m bursting with excitement as I can not wait to see and buy my favourite peony flowers to brighten up not only my day but home to, I think adding flowers in to ones home is not only uplifting but the bring beautiful scent in also.
What do you love most about Spring?

New book
Ok, so I am a little gutted I did not do a May book review but do not worry this June I'll have a good one for you next week. A book that I could not resist sharing with you straight away is my latest read which I am still chomping through is 'The Colour Of Bee Larkhams Murder'. It is about a boy Jasper, he is no ordinary boy, he sees things differently to you and me, he sees and hears it all in colour, colour that no one else can see or hear, until he discovers a new colour, the colour of murder of his neighbour! Was he there, did he do it, does he know who killed Bee!? Well, get reading guys cause I sure will be finishing this book by the weeks end to find out about Jasper's new colour of murder.
Foundation
I am not a major makeup person, never have been and quite frankly do not have the time, plus by the time I've got into the office after being on the tube, it mostly comes off. But I was on the hunt for something nice and light, step forward my new purchase Clinique's even better glow, it is perfect for the Spring Summer months, my skin looks refreshed, hydrated and evens out my skin tone.

Bag
My new favourite this week is the bag of the season, it is the must-have accessory for this Spring and Summer the 60s beaded bag! They are fun, kitsch, feminine and boy do they make a statement for all the right reasons, Instagram IT girls are parading them all over and no matter your age (me in my dirty 30s) it is an instant uplift to any outfit be it dressed up in a party dress or dressed down with mom jeans and a killer t-shirt.

With warmer weather settling in and clear blue skies, one thing you can not live without this summer and need to invest in is a linen dress, it's light and airy and perfect especially for the long weekend ahead and beach days.
It is so important for me to find the right dress every summer after all summer sun and holidays is what we live for, this year for me it has to be the classic linen dress, neutrals, earthy tones, stripes and colours, short sleeves, long sleeves, to no sleeves, you name it I'll be wearing it dressed up and down with some new or should I say perfume that I got from Grastisfaction UK.
SHOP MY LOOK

Over the recent weeks, I've been investing in every style and colour linen dresses, they are perfect worn to work, weddings, the races, dressed down with trainers fitting for school runs and other parenting shenanigans or worn to brunch with sandals and statement earrings for Friday night after work drinks. It has become a new best friend, who never lets you down, makes you feel and look great and flatters those lumps and bumps, I'm always trying to cover up.
I wore this striped linen dress from mango who have an amazing range of cooling linen dresses, perfect to withstand the spring, summer months to a coffee date with my sister. It's a classic wardrobe staple and so easy to wear with some flats and a wicker bag which I am chuffed to say I got for £15 in Camden market, next stop a hagglers life for me in Morocco.
I like to go a size up with my linen dresses, pants and shirts, to give it a more relaxed easy-breezy look, after all, linen is supposed to be cooling and chic and easy to wear even though it can be a nightmare to iron. If you are looking to nip in a relaxed linen dress as I know they can look sack-like don't worry and good cinch-style wrap at the waist will leave it looking flattering and you stylish to a tee.
I have certainly found my season must have's, will linen dresses be yours?
